Circle In The Sand

We won’t be as rash as to promise you won’t get muddy on this walk, but the Greensand ridge north of Petersfield does offer walkers welcome relief under foot at this time of year. This 5 mile circuit follows the Serpents Way across Chapel Common before crossing over to find the chapel in the woods on the ridge above Maysleith Hanger. The dainty Winter Aconites might even be out to greet us at St Lukes. They were there last January. From there it’s a loop of the hanger edge around to Liphook Golf Club and Forest Mere before coming back across the common. We are pretty confident that this walk is about as clean as it gets in January!

If anyone would like something warm and comforting after our walk, the cafe at Blue Diamond Garden Centre, Rake is only a short distance up the road.

The event is finished.
