  • DATE: Friday 19 May 2023

  • TIME:  18.00

  • START LOCATION: Older Hill, Woolbeding

  • POST CODE/GRID REF: GU29 0QD / SU869 260 (grid ref much more accurate)

  • DISTANCE: 5 miles

  • DURATION: 2 hours 30 mins walking plus time watching sunset

A circular early evening walk from the National Trust’s Older Hill, Woolbeding towards Verdley Edge and Henley. Although we will pass the Duke of Cumberland pub, we won’t be stopping. Instead, the aim is to savour our preferred sundowners from the beautiful vantage point offered by Older Hill at the end of our walk. From this incredible spot we will watch the sun slowly set over Hill Brow and Rake Hanger at the edge of the Weald. Bring a warm or other drink to celebrate the start of the weekend and something to sit on…… as one bench will not accommodate 20 backsides! (Both drinks and mats/chairs can be left in cars for our return).
