We are delighted that the Vespucci Adventures/Petersfield Shakespeare Festival double act has offered us a repeat of last summer’s much acclaimed Buriton, A Bevvy & The Bard.
Meeting, and ending at the Five Bells in Buriton, Peter Bristowe of Vespucci Adventures will lead us up behind the village on ancient pathways and through the historic chalk pits. At a couple of stops, while you catch your breathe and take in spectacular views, our Petersfield Shakespeare Festival itinerant bard will regale us with some atmospheric and apposite quotes from our greatest poet. We can’t claim him as “local” but some of the lines could have been written for the timeless beauty of the South Downs.
This is a mere taster of the magic that is Petersfield Shakespeare Festival. To have the full experience why not join the talented cast at Wyld’s Farm, Liss from 18-23rd July for a spectacular performance of Twelfth Night. Summer evenings don’t come much better!

Vespucci Adventures evolved from a passion for hiking and the great outdoors. They set out to inspire a new generation to follow in their footsteps and get out there by giving people everything they need for a great day out exploring. Hiking isn’t all walking sticks and geography field trips, but sometimes it can feel that way. So, they came up with a product that captures the beauty and fun of hiking, without making any of it feel like a school trip! Their pub recommendations are just as important to them as their routes. They strive to give you the best possible experience by ensuring their hikes are the best they can be and provide all the important details – both big and small. Their aim is to inspire and empower people to get outside and discover adventures they otherwise would not have. They give you all the tools, so all you have to do is get out there…
