DISTANCE: walk is 3.8 miles (+ ambling around grounds looking at snowdrops)
DURATION: approx 3 hours total
This short, circular walk from West Meon out to Warnford is all about the snowdrops. Every February, thousands of snowdrops carpet the churchyard and woodlands surrounding the Church of Our Lady, Warnford. The owners of Warnford Park kindly allow the Rector and Churchwardens to invite visitors to share in this natural delight each spring. They simply ask in return that people keep to the paths, do not pick the flowers and consider making a donation to the church maintenance fund.
Our walk will start along the Meon Valley Trail and return on the opposite side of the River Meon, across farmland. On reaching the church there will be time to meander through the grounds looking at the snowdrops. Tea and cake is available to buy in the church.
